Scales of War
Set up for the fall guy
A half-elf and the newest member of the Brindol City Council, Troyas is clearly an astute student of politics. He knows that his colleagues on the Council are trying to set him up for failure, but he is certain that the meetings they are calling to discuss the goblin attacks will accomplish next to nothing. As such, he is very careful about who he is offering the job to, and was at first distrustful of the group Alys had sent before him. (13 Reaping, 1468 CY)
The group was able to convince him, however, and he offered them a job that the rest of the Council has agreed to back, though you suspect the other Councilmembers want Troyas’ plan to fail:
* Find and return missing citizens – Adronsius, Jalissa, Kartenix and his son Thurann, Mirtala, Sertanian, and Zerriksa. Reward 200 gp.
* Find and return treasures stolen from the Great Hall of Valor – ornate, gilded dragoncrest helm; ceremonial platinum longsword; set of three shields with the Red Hand insignia, each with a charred hole near the center; set of iron gauntlets with extensive filigree; heraldic battle standard depicting two hands clasped in a handshake. Reward 200 gp.
* Troyas also offered whatever aid the good people of Brindol could muster.
Troyas was alerted to the existence of zombie-Kartenix, and gave the party until dawn on Diamond League Day (the 21st) to either cure him or get him out of town. He was also told about “The Emissary”, that the local goblin tribes had been disbanded, and that Rivenroar is now less haunted (17 Reaping, 1468 CY)
Troyas stood by (somewhat angrily) as the head of the City Council took credit for sending the Hordebane out to rescue Brindol’s people and history (18 Reaping, 1468 CY)
Troyas was pleased that the Hordebane decided to head off to Overlook to aid the dwarves at Bordrin’s Watch. He assured Diony that the dwarves would likely be able to reward all adventurers for their contributions since it is a much larger city known for its mercantile ventures (19 Reaping, 1468 CY)
Troyas paid a visit to Zerriksa and Maa’zai, prompting Maa’zai to call Tanner back to Brindol (19 Reaping, 1468 CY)
